Lifetimes of Asthma & COPD: from Aberdeen to Africa
Professor Graham Devereux, Professor of Respiratory Medicine at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine
Graham went to medical school in Cambridge and Oxford. He trained in Newcastle, Nottingham and Aberdeen. In 2000, he was appointed as Consultant in Aberdeen and in 2008 he was appointed Professor of Respiratory Medicine in Aberdeen. He has speciality interests in airways disease (asthma, COPD) and his research interests are in the antenatal influences on the life course of airways disease. In 2018, he moved to the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. He will present the research conducted on the early life influences on the life course of asthma and COPD conducted in Aberdeen and more recently in Kenya and Malawi.
