President's Golf Cup
Professor Sir Ashley MacIntosh was Regius Professor of Medicine at Aberdeen University from 1912 to 1928. As President of the Society in 1920 he donated the President's Cup to be presented to the winners of an annual golf foursomes matchplay competition. The Society applies a handicap formula based on skill and experience to ensure that each partnership has realistic aspirations. Entries are welcomed and encouraged from any member who is aware of the spirit of the game.
The draw will be made in early April.
Professor Sir Ashley Mackintosh’s intention (in 1920) was “to enhance communication within the profession” – a relevant sentiment both then and now. A handicap formula based on skill and experience is applied.
Each tie will promote your fitness to practice. Winners are expected to collect the trophy at The Annual Founders’ Dinner.
Please submit your entry by the end of March to Marilene (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Dr Hugh F Gibson.
