Ewan ForrestEwan Forrest is Aberdeen graduate. His MD thesis was on Portal hypertension. He was appointed Consultant Physician and Hepatologist at Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 2003.

He has a specialist interest in alcohol-related liver disease and in particular the management of alcohol-related hepatitis. Co-developer of the Glasgow Alcoholic Hepatitis Score and the Glasgow Modified Alcohol Withdrawal Score. Former Chair of the BASL Special Interest Group in alcohol-related liver disease. Chair of the Alcohol harms Group, Glasgow Alcohol Drugs Partnership. On steering group of Scottish Health Action on Alcohol Problems (SHAAP). Current Alcohol Lead for the British Society of Gastroenterology and Chair of the NHS Research Scotland Hepatology network.

Andrew FraserAndrew Fraser was a solicitor in local Government, retiring in 2021, latterly as Head of Service and Solicitor to the Council, at West Dunbartonshire and North Ayrshire Councils. As Clerk to their Licensing Boards he developed a healthy interest in alcohol policy, which led in turn to being appointed to the Board of Alcohol Policy Scotland. After 9 years on the Board, the last 4 as Chair, he has just stepped down.
